  • Great collection of buses and other vehicles in various states of repair. Highlights include the Midland Red ME1 and the beautifully restored AEC Regent double decker bus, no I’m not a bus anorak...

  • Interesting afternoon spent at the Transport Museum in Wythall. If you have any interest in coach/ bus travel through the years then you must visit this museum. The volunteers on hand were all extremely knowledgeable and the selection and numbers of buses are fantastic. Many have been restored but you can also see all types in many forms of condition. You can sit in the buses and really get a feel for buses from a bygone age. Vintage fire engines are also on display adding to the interest of the museum. Another interesting display was a number of electric milk floats. Imagine that.... battery power!!! I still remember the chinking of bottles as the milk was delivered by the milkman, it heralded the start of the day. There are great activities for children so this would be a good to place for a family to visit. The cafe team were really friendly with a good selection of refreshments available. We went on a nice drive in an open topped bus which was great and really gave you a sense of traveling in these old vehicles. I would recommend a visit to the Transport Museum. It's easy to get to, good parking and very interesting
  • Great day out. Loads of buses and electric vehicles (milk floats). Volunteers very friendly and helpful. Had lovely bus ride on 1965 open top bus (approx.half hour). Nice cafe. Altogether total nostalgia overload. Highly recommended.
