Great Witley Parish Church
A golden dome draws visitors towards a simple church exterior but the interior is astounding. This beautiful Baroque church amazes with gilded decorations, ceiling paintings, enamelled windows, carved woodwork, an ornate organ and more.
The crypt beneath has lead coffins, a splendid granite sarcophagus, the restored 1804 Samuel Thorpe clock and displays.
This parish church holds concerts and events and is maintained in beautiful condition by donations from visitors and the local community.

Beautiful church where the exterior belies the splendour of the interior. Plain staid outside can’t prepare you for the interior of great opulence and your eyes are drawn to all parts. The ceiling, walls, stained glass windows and woodwork are visually attractive. Well worth a visit.
