Discover exotic and rare birds as you explore Birdland, set in 4 hectares (9 acres) of gardens and woodland. Flamingos, pelicans, cranes, storks, cassowary, and waterfowl live in the riverside habitat with parrots, owls, pheasants, hornbills, touracos, and many more inhabiting over 50 aviaries. Warm up by visiting the temperate and desert houses, which are home to birds who enjoy hotter and drier conditions. Stretch your legs by exploring Marshmouth Nature reserve, a secluded 1 hectare (2.5 acre) trail through marshland, ponds, meadow, and copse with views over the River Windrush. Check the website beforehand for the shedule of bird feedings and “meet the keeper” sessions. To plan Bourton-on-the-Water vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

Great collection of birds from around the world. I particularly enjoyed seeing the penguins and seeing them fed and talked about by experienced keepers. There are also beautifully coloured flamingos, superb owls, macaws, and a huge selection of other birds. The enclosures and surrounding areas are also beautiful with the river running through. A cafe, toilets, picnic areas and shop are also available on site. Parking is available at the council pay and display nearby. I would recommend it takes more than two hours to see and enjoy everything. An enjoyable few hours.

We were there in a group of nine I did visit before the village but didn't go into Birdland. Lovely place for a family day out, located in the lovely village Burton on the Water. The most attractive for us was the penguins which are very cute and very friendly. It has a nice collection of exotic birds, flamingos, and even emperor penguins. There is a dinosaur walk and playground for children, as well as some snacks and, of course, a gift shop. It's something I'd recommend to anyone! Would definitely worth the visit to Birdland and jurassic Park.
