  • Such an amazing experience. Lovely layout of the building as there is always something to look at. Along with the regular fish, rays, sharks etc there is also a jelly fish room, penguins, sea otters (the only ones on the UK) a giant sea turtle and a tunnel surrounded with water where part of the floor is also see through. There is also the sensory part of the experience which was quite busy but you got to feel a starfish and a mermaids pod. It's a lovely thing to do in Birmingham. The busiest part of the experience was the gift store which was quite small but full of people. We collected our medals for filling in an activity card at the tills of the gift shop. Great for adults and children. Highly recommended.
  • It's nice but quite small for the price. I've had an annual pass for the last 5 months or so as my daughter loves the penguins. We've probably been half a dozen times which makes it better value. Some of the exhibits are looking a bit tired and could do with some attention. The new addition of the seals is nice although you wonder if the tank is really big enough for the pair of them. Overall though, it's good fun and all the staff seem friendly and knowledgeable. Update: Seals have now been replaced by very cute sea otters!
