  • It's a stunning new building that stands out in the city centre. Apart from having a huge book collection, it has two rooftop gardens with views of the city.

  • We are so lucky to have such a beautiful building as the library in Birmingham. Good selection of books, wonderful staff, handy cafe, study corners, kids library, beautiful viewing terraces (must see!) and high escalators that take you above the clouds, this place is one of my favorite spots in Birmingham. As per library membership, I love that they have a growing number of e-books / audio books which you can access through Libby app. Thank you all the staff at Birmingham Library, I feel privileged to have the services you provide.
  • Perhaps one of the greatest public buildings that Europe has seen built for at least a decade. It does everything a library should as well as being an inspiring and superbly designed building which empowers both local people and visitors . It really does make you feel proud to be a citizen of Birmingham. I agree with others on the need for longer and weekend opening times, the reduction of hours was an abysmal policy decision, and needs to be rectified.
