Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
On the 21st (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: tour the pleasant surroundings at Padua Botanical Garden - World Heritage Site, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica of St. Anthony, don't miss a visit to Prato della Valle, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Scrovegni Chapel, then take a stroll through Campo del Ghetto, and finally take a stroll through Cannaregio.

Bled, Slovenia to Venice is an approximately 3-hour car ride. You can also take a shuttle; or take a train. Traveling from Bled in August, plan for a bit warmer nights in Venice, with lows around 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 22nd (Mon) to allow time for the car ride to Verona.

City of Romeo and Juliet

The famous setting for Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, Verona is one of northern Italy's main tourist destinations, largely owing to its incredibly rich artistic heritage.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Verona: Valeggio Sul Mincio (Borghetto sul Mincio & Parco Giardino Sigurta), Lago di Garda (in Garda) and Gardaland Park (in Castelnuovo del Garda). Pack the 27th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Movieland Park. There's much more to do: take a stroll through Piazza delle Erbe, learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Parco Natura Viva, explore the historical opulence of Castello Scaligero, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore.
