Turin — 7 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
For shopping fun, head to Via Roma or Mercato Di Piazza di Madama Cristina. Discover out-of-the-way places like Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Cascate del Rutor. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Colle del Nivolet (in Ceresole Reale), Rifugio Vittorio Sella (in Cogne) and The Roman Aqueduct-Bridge of Pont d'Ael APERTO SINO AL 1 NOVEMBRE (in Aymavilles). There's lots more to do: take in the awesome beauty at Colline di Torino, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, contemplate the waterfront views at Lago d'Arpy, and let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour.

For traveler tips, photos, other places to visit, and tourist information, you can read our Turin online attractions planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 78°F in July, and nighttime lows around 65°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
