Turin — 7 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Escape the urban bustle at Colline di Torino and Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni and Cave Bossea. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Lago d'Arpy (in Morgex), Lago Blu (in Breuil-Cervinia) and Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso (in Aosta). Next up on the itinerary: don't miss a visit to Centro Storico, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga, examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, and stop by Quadrilatero Romano.

If you are flying in from Slovenia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. October in Turin sees daily highs of 17°C and lows of 12°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Tue) so you can travel back home.
