Turin — 7 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Escape the urban bustle at Colline di Torino and Cave Bossea. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni and Centro Storico. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso (in Aosta), Lago Blu (in Breuil-Cervinia) and Lago d'Arpy (in Morgex). There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Quadrilatero Romano, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga, and make a trip to Piazza San Carlo.

If you are flying in from Slovenia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October in Turin, expect temperatures between 17°C during the day and 12°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Tue) so you can travel back home.
