Turin — 7 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Abbazia di Santa Maria di Vezzolano (in Albugnano), Lake Orta (in Orta San Giulio) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, make a trip to Piazza Castello, admire the natural beauty at Parco del Valentino, and contemplate the long history of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

To find other places to visit, where to stay, photos, and other tourist information, read our Turin online day trip planner.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
