In the Aosta Valley bordering Switzerland and France, the medieval city of Aosta is famous for its prime skiing conditions and rich cultural history.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Sat): step into the grandiose world of Castello Sarriod de La Tour, explore the historical opulence of Castello Reale di Sarre, make a trip to Porta Praetoria, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Aosta Old Town, and finally delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense. On your second day here, take in the spiritual surroundings of Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso, admire the verdant scenery at Val Veny, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Santuario di Notre-Dame de Guerison, and finally head outdoors with Sentiero panoramico lungo l'Orrido di Pre-Saint-Didier.
