Turin — 6 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706 and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama). Get a sense of the local culture at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Castello di Issogne. Venture out of the city with trips to Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte), Monterosa Ski (in Gressoney-la-Trinite) and Castel Savoia (in Gressoney Saint Jean). There's much more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sacro Monte di Orta, appreciate the extensive heritage of Ricetto di Candelo, pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario di Oropa, and take an in-depth tour of Armeria Reale.
