A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Milan (Basilica San Lorenzo Maggiore, Duomo di Milano, &more). Rome to Turin is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. Traveling from Rome in June, expect Turin to be a bit cooler, temps between 26°C and 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Asti.

Asti — 2 nights

On the 25th (Fri), do a tasting at Montaribaldi, do a tasting at Cantina Francesco Borgogno, and then examine the collection at Arazzeria Scassa. On the next day, savor the flavors at Travel Langhe Wine Tours and then admire the verdant scenery at Langhe landscapes.

Traveling by car from Turin to Asti takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Turin in June, things will get somewhat warmer in Asti: highs are around 30°C and lows about 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Sat) early enough to fly back home.
