Turin — 5 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Egizio and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama). Head to Galleria Sabauda and Latteria Berafor some retail therapy. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Reggia Di Reale (in Venaria Reale), Asti Lido 2000 Piscine (in Asti) and Forte di Bard (in Bard). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, learn about winemaking at Cantina Fontechiara, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, and contemplate the long history of Piazza Motta.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September in Turin, expect temperatures between 69°F during the day and 58°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Tue) to allow time to travel back home.
