Turin — 5 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do your shopping at Galleria Sabauda and Produttori di Govone. Basilica di Superga and Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone will appeal to history buffs. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Reggia Di Reale (in Venaria Reale), Tre Secoli sca - Viticoltori in Piemonte dal 1887 (in Mombaruzzo) and Cantina Fontechiara (in Borgomanero). There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale Di Torino, steep yourself in history at Sacra di San Michele, and get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio.

For maps, reviews, more things to do, and other tourist information, refer to the Turin trip itinerary website.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, daytime highs in Turin are 20°C, while nighttime lows are 12°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
