Turin — 5 nights

City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.You'll discover tucked-away gems like Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Santuario della Nativita di Maria. Take a break from the city and head to Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Asti Lido 2000 Piscine. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: River Rafting & Tubing (in La Salle), Castel Savoia (in Gressoney Saint Jean) and Rifugio Vittorio Sella (in Cogne). There's much more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario di Oropa, appreciate the extensive heritage of Ricetto di Candelo, step into the grandiose world of Castello e Parco di Masino, and delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense.
To find where to stay, photos, ratings, and other tourist information, refer to the Turin tour planning website.
If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
