Turin — 5 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Castello di Issogne and Museo del Carcere Le Nuove. Get some historical perspective at Castello della Manta and Castello di Fossano. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to River Rafting & Tubing (in La Salle), Castello di Verres (in Verres) and Museo Civico Casa Cavassa (in Saluzzo). And it doesn't end there: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, take an in-depth tour of Musei Reali, step into the grandiose world of Castello di Serralunga d'Alba, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Cappella dei Banchieri e dei Mercanti.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 28th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
