Turin — 4 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step off the beaten path and head to Langhe landscapes and Church of San Lorenzo. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Cattedrale di Asti Santa Maria Assunta (in Asti), Milan (Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Duomo di Milano, &more) and Centro Storico (in Alba). There's lots more to do: explore the activities along Colline di Torino, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Fenis, examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, and get engrossed in the history at Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706.

Milan to Turin is an approximately 1.5-hour train ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Milan in October, plan for a bit cooler days in Turin, with highs around 17°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sun) to allow enough time to fly back home.
