6 days in Turin & Aosta Itinerary

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.

Step out of Turin to go to Venaria Reale and see Reggia Di Reale, which is approximately 32 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale Di Torino, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Superga.

Valletta, Malta to Turin is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and train; or take a bus. Traveling from Valletta in May, expect Turin to be little chillier, temps between 20°C and 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Aosta.

In the Aosta Valley bordering Switzerland and France, the medieval city of Aosta is famous for its prime skiing conditions and rich cultural history.

Start off your visit on the 29th (Wed): delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense, then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, then see the interesting displays at Forte di Bard, and finally explore the historical opulence of Castello di Fenis.

Traveling by car from Turin to Aosta takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 30th (Thu) to allow time for the flight back home.
