Turin — 4 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Castello di Issogne and Castello Reale di Sarre. Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Aosta (Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso, Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso, &more), Santuario della Nativita di Maria (in Vicoforte) and Castello di Verres (in Verres). There's much more to do: let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, appreciate the views at Val Veny, and make a trip to Via Roma.

To find traveler tips, photos, more things to do, and other tourist information, go to the Turin tour planning website.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 78°F, while at night they dip to 65°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Tue) so you can travel back home.
