Turin — 4 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step off the beaten path and head to Castello di Issogne and River Rafting & Tubing. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Via Roma and Casa del Miele. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Turin: Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre), Il Negozietto (in Chatillon) and Castello di Verres (in Verres). There's much more to do: do a tasting at Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni, take in the spiritual surroundings of Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis, indulge your taste buds at Azienda Agricola Fratelli Aimasso, and get some fabulous bargains at Mondovicino Outlet Village.

If you are flying in from Sweden, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 30°C in July, and nighttime lows around 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
