Turin — 4 nights
City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.Get some historical perspective at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Castello Reale di Sarre. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Castel Savoia and Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso. Venture out of the city with trips to Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa), Castello di Issogne (in Issogne) and Ricetto di Candelo (in Candelo). There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, don't miss a visit to Via Roma, do a tasting at Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni, and kick back and relax at Spiaggia Miami.
To find other places to visit, photos, traveler tips, and more tourist information, refer to the Turin day trip planner.
If you are flying in from Czech Republic, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. September in Turin sees daily highs of 24°C and lows of 17°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
