Turin — 4 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Basilica di Superga and Palazzo Reale Di Torino. Take a break from the city and head to Lake Orta and Spiaggia Miami. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Azienda Agricola Negro Angelo & Figli (in Monteu Roero), Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour) and Reggia Di Reale (in Venaria Reale). There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, catch a live event at Juventus Stadium, relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, and steep yourself in history at Piazza Motta.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September in Turin, expect temperatures between 69°F during the day and 58°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 23rd (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
