Turin — 4 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Basilica di Superga and Reggia Di Reale. Take a break from the city and head to Lake Orta and River Rafting & Tubing. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Azienda Agricola Negro Angelo & Figli (in Monteu Roero), Orta San Giulio (Piazza Motta & Spiaggia Miami) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). And it doesn't end there: admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, do a tasting at Cantina Fontechiara, and catch a live event at Juventus Stadium.

For where to stay, maps, more things to do, and other tourist information, go to the Turin sightseeing planning app.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 69°F in September, and nighttime lows around 58°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Mon) so you can travel back home.
