Turin — 4 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Head to Serravalle Designer Outlet and Naturaliafor some retail therapy. Attractions like Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema make great kid-friendly stops. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino), Teatro Romano (in Aosta) and Castello di Fenis (in Fenis). There's still lots to do: step into the grandiose world of Castello di Issogne, admire the natural beauty at Parco del Valentino, get a taste of the local shopping with Reggia Di Reale, and view the masterpieces at The Little Wild Gallery.

If you are flying in from Sweden, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October in Turin, expect temperatures between 17°C during the day and 12°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
