City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.Venture out of the city with trips to Castello di Issogne (in Issogne), Colle del Nivolet (in Ceresole Reale) and Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso (in Aosta). The adventure continues: awaken your taste buds at some of the top wineries in the area, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, and take in the dramatic scenery at Cascate del Rutor.
Plan my trip to Turin with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.
If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 28°C, while at night they dip to 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
