Turin — 4 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Santuario della Nativita di Maria will appeal to history buffs. Get some cultural insight at Ricetto di Candelo and Juventus Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Castello di Racconigi (in Racconigi), Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa) and Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni (in Barolo). There's lots more to do: take an in-depth tour of Museum of the Risorgimento, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Issogne, shop like a local with Via Roma, and examine the collection at Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama).

For maps, other places to visit, traveler tips, and tourist information, refer to the Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. March in Turin sees daily highs of 11°C and lows of 5°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
