Turin — 4 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get a sense of the local culture at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Castello di Issogne. Appreciate the collections at Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706 and Museum of the Risorgimento. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni (in Barolo), Ricetto di Candelo (in Candelo) and Castello di Serralunga d'Alba (in Serralunga d'Alba). There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Castello della Manta, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario di Oropa, awaken your taste buds at Azienda Agricola Fratelli Aimasso, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Santuario della Nativita di Maria.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 58°F, while at night they dip to 51°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
