Turin — 4 nights

City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Escape the urban bustle at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and River Rafting & Tubing. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Turin: Castello e Parco di Masino (in Caravino), Cantina Fontechiara (in Borgomanero) and Reggia Di Reale (in Venaria Reale). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, see where the action happens at Juventus Stadium, take in the spiritual surroundings of Santuario della Consolata, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Superga.
To see maps, photos, other places to visit, and more tourist information, go to the Turin online route planner.
If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
