Turin — 4 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Armeria Reale and Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Museum of the Risorgimento. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Cantina Josetta Saffirio (in Monforte d'Alba), Castel Savoia (in Gressoney Saint Jean) and Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni (in Barolo). Next up on the itinerary: step into the grandiose world of Castello di Issogne, pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario di Oropa, see the interesting displays at Juventus Museum, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis.
