Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get in touch with nature at Lake Orta and Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso. There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

To see photos, traveler tips, more things to do, and other tourist information, go to the Turin online holiday planner.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 24°C in September, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
