Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Family-friendly places like Museo Egizio and Piazza San Carlo will thrill your kids. Step off the beaten path and head to Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Aosta Old Town. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello di Issogne (in Issogne) and Criptoportico Forense (in Aosta). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga, test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, and make a trip to Piazza Castello.

To find maps, photos, and tourist information, refer to the Turin online tour itinerary maker.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 1st (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
