Turin — 3 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Bring the kids along to Museo Egizio and Basilica di Superga. Venture out of the city with trips to Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso (in Aosta), Zoom Torino (in Cumiana) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's much more to do: see where the action happens at Juventus Stadium, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, steep yourself in history at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
