Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step off the beaten path and head to Castello di Issogne and Santuario della Nativita di Maria. You'll explore and learn at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove and Musei Reali. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Castello di Verres (in Verres), Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre) and Il Negozietto (in Chatillon). There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Castello della Manta, admire the masterpieces at Fondazione Accorsi Ometto - Museo di Arti Decorative, appreciate the extensive heritage of Centro storico, and take a stroll through Via Roma.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, daytime highs in Turin are 58°F, while nighttime lows are 51°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
