Turin — 3 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step off the beaten path and head to Castello di Issogne and Museo del Carcere Le Nuove. You'll explore and learn at Fondazione Accorsi Ometto - Museo di Arti Decorative and Galleria Sabauda. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Il Negozietto (in Chatillon), Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre) and Castello di Verres (in Verres). Next up on the itinerary: appreciate the extensive heritage of Centro storico, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Aglie, explore the world behind art at Musei Reali, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis.

To see reviews, where to stay, and other tourist information, go to the Turin route website.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, daytime highs in Turin are 58°F, while nighttime lows are 51°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
