Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museo Egizio and Castello di Grinzane Cavour are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll explore and learn at Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Cantina Fontechiara (in Borgomanero), Reggia Di Reale (in Venaria Reale) and Castello di Fenis (in Fenis). And it doesn't end there: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, steep yourself in history at Palazzo Reale Di Torino, and don't miss a visit to Piazza Castello.

To find where to stay, reviews, ratings, and tourist information, use the Turin road trip planning website.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. October in Turin sees daily highs of 58°F and lows of 51°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
