Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Head to Galleria Sabauda and Via Romafor plenty of shopping. Reggia Di Reale and Basilica di Superga will appeal to history buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Serravalle Designer Outlet (in Serravalle Scrivia) and Cantina Fontechiara (in Borgomanero). Next up on the itinerary: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, take in the exciting artwork at Mostra Steve Mc Curry, and admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale Di Torino.

For where to stay, other places to visit, and more tourist information, you can read our Turin trip itinerary site.

If you are flying in from New Zealand, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
