Turin — 3 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do your shopping at Via Roma and Reggia Di Reale. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Castello e Parco di Masino and Castello di Serralunga d'Alba. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre), River Rafting & Tubing (in La Salle) and Criptoportico Forense (in Aosta). And it doesn't end there: step into the grandiose world of Castello di Issogne, admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Santa Maria del Monastero, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 20°C in May, and nighttime lows around 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
