Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Musei Reali and Galleria Sabauda. Escape the urban bustle at Colline di Torino and Torgnon. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Castello di Issogne (in Issogne) and Aosta (Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso & Criptoportico Forense). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, wander the streets of Via Roma, pause for some serene contemplation at Gran Madre di Dio, and don't miss a visit to Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini.

To find where to stay, other places to visit, photos, and tourist information, refer to the Turin trip itinerary site.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In February, plan for daily highs up to 5°C, and evening lows to 0°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
