Turin — 3 nights
City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.Museum-lovers will appreciate Juventus Museum and Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706. Castello di Issogne and Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre), Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour) and Santuario della Nativita di Maria (in Vicoforte). And it doesn't end there: tour the pleasant surroundings at Rifugio Vittorio Sella, look for all kinds of wild species at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, and delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense.
