Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Castello e Parco di Masino and Castello di Issogne. Santuario della Nativita di Maria and Castello della Manta will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Castello di Verres (in Verres), Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre) and Aosta (Criptoportico Forense & Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso). The adventure continues: pause for some serene contemplation at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio, and see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema.

For maps, other places to visit, where to stay, and more tourist information, go to the Turin trip itinerary planning tool.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 76°F in August, and nighttime lows around 64°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
