Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Visit Basilica di Superga and Reggia Di Reale for their historical value. Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Forte di Bard (in Bard), Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (in Stupinigi) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, don't miss a visit to Piazza Castello, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Verres, and contemplate the long history of Palazzo Reale Di Torino.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 24°C in September, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
