Turin — 3 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Juventus Museum. Ricetto di Candelo and Castello e Parco di Masino will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa), Castello di Racconigi (in Racconigi) and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte). The adventure continues: explore the world behind art at MAO - Museo d'Arte Orientale, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Issogne, see the interesting displays at Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama), and explore the galleries of Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In April, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
