City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Castello e Parco di Masino. Ricetto di Candelo and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Castello di Racconigi (in Racconigi), Santuario della Nativita di Maria (in Vicoforte) and Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa). The adventure continues: examine the collection at Juventus Museum, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Issogne, take an in-depth tour of Armeria Reale, and admire the masterpieces at MAO - Museo d'Arte Orientale.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In April, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
