Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour) and Centro Storico (in Alba). And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Juventus Museum, admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga.

For reviews, where to stay, traveler tips, and tourist information, you can read our Turin day trip website.

If you are flying in from Malta, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. September in Turin sees daily highs of 24°C and lows of 17°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
