Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Forte di Bard (in Bard), Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio (in Piossasco) and Reggia Di Reale (in Venaria Reale). There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

For more things to do, reviews, photos, and other tourist information, read Turin day trip planner.

If you are flying in from Switzerland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 11°C, while at night they dip to 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Mon) so you can travel back home.
