Turin — 2 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get some historical perspective at Basilica di Superga and Reggia Di Reale. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour), Forte di Bard (in Bard) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's still lots to do: catch a live event at Juventus Stadium, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio, and examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile.

If you are flying in from Germany, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 28°C, while at night they dip to 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
