City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Basilica di Superga and Sacra di San Michele will appeal to history buffs. Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile will appeal to museum buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Forte di Bard (in Bard) and Reggia Di Reale (in Venaria Reale). There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and catch a live event at Juventus Stadium.

To find more things to do, ratings, other places to visit, and more tourist information, go to the Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 17°C, while at night they dip to 12°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
