Turin — 2 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Appreciate the collections at Museo Egizio and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama). Explore hidden gems such as Castello di Issogne and Castello di Verres. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa), Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour) and Ricetto di Candelo (in Candelo). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, wander the streets of Via Roma, and take an in-depth tour of Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706.

To see other places to visit, photos, where to stay, and tourist information, refer to the Turin trip planning app.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In December, daytime highs in Turin are 8°C, while nighttime lows are 3°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
