Turin — 2 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Castello di Issogne and Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice. Your inner history buff will appreciate Castello di Verres and Castello di Serralunga d'Alba. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Ricetto di Candelo (in Candelo), Castello della Manta (in Manta) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). It doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Juventus Museum and get engrossed in the history at Armeria Reale.
