Turin — 2 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Basilica di Superga and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile. Your inner history buff will appreciate Palazzo Reale Di Torino and Castello di Grinzane Cavour. Venture out of the city with trips to Reggia Di Reale (in Venaria Reale), Ferraris Agricola (in Castagnole Monferrato) and Forte di Bard (in Bard). There's still lots to do: explore the world behind art at Museo Egizio and see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema.

For other places to visit, photos, and tourist information, go to the Turin trip itinerary planning site.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 69°F in September, and nighttime lows around 58°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
