Turin — 2 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get a sense of the local culture at Basilica di Superga and Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Isolabella della Croce (in Loazzolo), Az. Agr. DEMARIE Giovanni di Demarie Aldo (in Vezza d'Alba) and Azienda Agricola Roccasanta (in Perletto). There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Grinzane Cavour, and learn about winemaking at Azienda Agricola Bajaj.

To find more things to do, other places to visit, reviews, and other tourist information, read our Turin travel planner.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In January, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 6°C, while at night they dip to 1°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
